![]() ![]() Sri Mahalakshmi Devi Mata is Goddess of Malyadri. North side of Malyadri has the Krishna River. The west side of Malyadri has the Ahobhila Narasimha Swamy, northwest side of Malyadri has the Sri Sailam, south side of Malyadri has the Vruchachala kshetram, east side of Malyadri has the Narasimha swamy of Singarayakonda, south side of Malyadri has the Penna River (Pinakini). ‘Malyadri’ means the Parvatas are arranged as flower mala. On Her request, Lord Narayana Swamy created the holy mountain Vanamala which was later came to be called as Malakonda or Malyadri and made Kshetra for the devotees. ![]() So She asked Him to build a Divya Kshetra for the devotees. And the Goddess requested Lord Narayana swamy that there are only few Divya Kshetras built on the earth and the devotees could not be able to go there because of its expenses. The mythology was that when Lord Narayana swamy was on Seshathalpam, He asked Goddess Mahalakshmi, was sitting next to His feet on Palasamudram that if you have any wishes ask for it I will do it for you.
